Better Than Perfect: How to Use AI to Plan, Write, and Finally Finish the Book You Keep Saying You’re Going to Write
Saturday, Sep 12, 2026, 10 AM CST | 11 EST (3h) Strategy. We are no longer just in the Information Age. We are in the Age of Acceleration. AI is not replacing authors. This workshop is for entrepreneurs, leaders, authors, and creatives who are ready to stop circling ideas and start executing!

Workshop Prerequisites

Better Than Perfect is designed for beginners. Participants do not need prior experience with artificial intelligence, professional writing, or book publishing.

To receive the greatest benefit from the workshop, participants should have the following ready before the session:

Required

  • A computer or tablet with reliable internet access

  • Access to Zoom or the selected online meeting platform

  • A free or paid ChatGPT account

  • A working email address

  • A notebook, workbook, or digital document for saving ideas and responses

  • A basic book idea, topic, message, or unfinished manuscript to develop

  • The ability to copy, paste, type, and open multiple browser windows or tabs

Recommended

Participants are encouraged to gather any existing materials connected to their book, including:

  • Notes or journal entries

  • Voice memos or recorded ideas

  • Previous drafts

  • Blog posts or social media content

  • Speeches, presentations, sermons, or training materials

  • Research, interviews, or reference documents

  • Personal stories or professional experiences

  • A current book outline, table of contents, or chapter list

Before the Workshop

Participants should complete the following steps:

  1. Create or confirm access to a ChatGPT account.

  2. Test the login before the workshop begins.

  3. Update the Zoom application or confirm browser access.

  4. Charge the computer or tablet and keep the power cord nearby.

  5. Choose one book project to focus on during the workshop.

  6. Write a brief response to this question:

What book do I want to write, and who do I believe needs it?

  7. Place all related book materials in one folder for easy access.

Technology Guidance

Participants may use a free ChatGPT account. A paid account is not required.

Because this is a hands-on workshop, joining from a computer or tablet is strongly recommended. A mobile phone may be used to attend, but it can make it difficult to view the presentation, complete exercises, and work inside the AI platform at the same time.

Important Privacy Reminder

Do not upload or enter private, confidential, legally protected, or personally identifying information into an AI platform. Remove sensitive names, addresses, financial details, medical information, client records, and unpublished information belonging to others.

What Participants Do Not Need

Participants do not need:

  • A completed manuscript

  • A final title

  • A publishing contract

  • Advanced technology skills

  • Previous AI experience

  • Perfect grammar

  • Every chapter figured out

Bring the idea as it is—unfinished, uncertain, or scattered across several notebooks. The workshop will help turn that collection of thoughts into a clearer, more workable path.
